Tour Schedule Weekdays
Weekdays tours begin at 10:15am and typically run every hour.
Weekends tours begin at 10:15 am and typically run every half hour.
Tours begin promptly at their scheduled time. Once a tour begins, we do not allow late arrivals as it can interfere with the ongoing tour and the experience of our guests. Tour times are subject to change without notice and depending on the amount of guests on site we may have to switch to self guided tours.
Military Discount
Active duty and retired may purchase admission in person at 20% off of full price general admission (one ticket per each valid military ID).
Wait Times
Please note during our peak season wait times can vary and may be lengthy. Please take this into consideration when you make your trip, and please be kind as we are doing our best to get everyone in and out in a timely manner.

The House from A Christmas Story, Museum and Gift Shop are closed: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. In addition, we are closed the last 2 full weeks in February for yearly maintenance.
Live Streaming and Recording
Please DO NOT record or live stream during guided tours. Such activities are disruptive to your fellow guests’ enjoyment of the tour experience. We reserve the right to remove any guests who do not comply with this request. Such activities are welcome outside of the guided tour experience.

The House from A Christmas Story has accessibility ramps to the following locations: the House, Gift Shop and The Bumpus House. Accessibility is available to the only the first floor of the House and The Bumpus House. The Gift Shop is a single story building and thus fully accessible.
Line Policy
This policy applies when self guided tours are in place and there is a line to enter the House from A Christmas Story. In order to be fair to everyone, guests with disabilities wait the same amount of time as other guests but they don’t have to wait in the regular line. Guests with disabilities will receive a reservation time comparable to the current wait time for entrance to the House. At the designated time the guest and up to three (3) companions can then enter the House through the alternate entrance.
Accessible Parking
Accessible parking is located in the parking lot between the House and Bumpus House. Guests with disabilities may also want to consider parking in the lot next to the gift shop for proximity to all of the building.
Restroom Accessibility
Restrooms in the Gift Shop are accessible for visitors with disabilities. Restrooms are unisex and allow for companion/family.
Service Animals
Service animals are permitted in all areas and buildings.
