The House from A Christmas Story and the Bumpus House sit side by side, each offering overnight guests a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
The Bumpus House is home to two separate suites — the Stolen Turkey Suite spanning the second and third floors, and the Hound Dog Haven Suite on the first floor, each available to book individually or together.
No minimum stay is required, except on holidays we are closed, which require a two-night minimum.
Guests staying on closed days enjoy full access to their house all day. Rates vary by accommodation, season, and availability — visit our Reservations page for details.
House from A Christmas Story
House from A Christmas Story
The ultimate fan experience. Spend the night at the actual House from A Christmas Story — sleep in the boys’ beds, rent a pair of bunny pajamas, and roam the house after hours reliving every scene you know by heart. This is the kind of night you’ll be talking about for years.
Guests
Accommodates up to 6 guests per night.
After-Hours Access
Overnight guests have exclusive use of the entire house from one hour after closing until 9 am the following morning. The private third-floor loft is yours for the entirety of your stay.
Please note: Tour hours are extended during the Christmas season.
Sleeping Arrangements
Sleeps 6: one queen bed, one queen pull-out sofa, and two twin beds in the boys’ room.

Flat-screen TVs are located in the queen bedroom, living area, and kitchenette area — so every member of the group can spread out and enjoy their stay.

Security
The tour area of the house is equipped with security cameras. The camera in the boys’ room is fitted with a privacy cover during overnight stays. There are no cameras in the loft suite itself.

The Bumpus House
The Bumpus House
The Bumpus House is located just to the left of the Christmas Story House. It is the of home the hillbilly neighbors, the Bumpuses, and their hound dogs.
The motif for the interior of The Bumpus House is vintage eclectic in a 1940’s style with a slightly hillbilly Bumpus flare while still providing all the modern amenities.

The Hound Dog Haven suite is first-floor living with a whole lot of personality. Styled in 1940s Hillbilly Chic, this cozy retreat is dripping in vintage charm — rustic character, warm vibes, and a story in every corner. But don’t worry, the only thing old-fashioned here is the décor. Every modern comfort is waiting for you, so come on in, kick your boots off, and stay a spell.

Accommodates up to 4 guests per night.

Sleeps 4: one queen bed and one daybed with a trundle bed underneath. All beds are in one bedroom. The bedroom also includes a flat-screen smart TV and DVD/Blu-ray player.

The Hound Dog Haven suite is handicap accessible, featuring ramp access to the first floor and accessible features throughout the suite.

The Stolen Turkey suite spans the second and third floors, offering three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a whole lot of 1940s Hillbilly Chic soul.
