The House from A Christmas Story sits at 3159 W. 11th Street in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood — meticulously restored to capture the look and feel of the beloved 1983 holiday film. Walk through rooms styled after the movie’s most memorable scenes, from the leg lamp in the front window to the crooked star on the Christmas tree.

What You’ll See on the Tour

The living room features a leg lamp display and 1940s-era furnishings, along with replicas of the gifts from under the tree — a fire truck, a bowling ball, and a Red Ryder BB gun. In the kitchen you’ll find period Fiestaware and a vintage oven. Upstairs, the boys’ bedroom is decorated with comic books and movie-era memorabilia, and the upstairs bathroom features props inspired by the film, including a decoder ring and a bar of Lifebuoy soap. Guided tours include behind-the-scenes stories about how the film was made — including the inventive ways the production team created artificial “snow.”

The Museum

Admission also includes the Museum, directly across the street, home to film memorabilia and props associated with the production, along with costume pieces and behind-the-scenes photos.

Gift Shop

Next to the museum, the gift shop carries leg lamps in several sizes, pink bunny pajamas, decoder pins, and other holiday film–themed merchandise, along with costume rental options for photos during your visit.
