Digital Tickets & Admission Policy
If you arrive without a digital ticket, please locate one of the tour signs shown below and scan the QR code. This will direct you to our website (redriderleglamps.com) where you can purchase tickets.
As of January 1st, paper tickets are no longer accepted for admission to the House and Museum, unless an expiration date is stamped on the back. Only early 2024-issued tickets include this expiration date.
Guided Tours
If you have purchased a digital ticket for a guided tour, please arrive at the House from A Christmas Story 10 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Late admission is not permitted. If you arrive late, please visit our gift shop, and we will do our best to accommodate you on the next available tour.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Full refunds are available if requested at least three weeks before your reservation date. If you cancel within three weeks of your reservation or after your scheduled time, you will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be issued if your request is made more than 30 days after your reservation date. Please note that the service fee is non-refundable.

Closures
The House from A Christmas Story, Museum and Gift Shop are closed: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. In addition, we are closed the last 2 full weeks in February for yearly maintenance.
Live Streaming and Recording
Please DO NOT record or live stream during guided tours. Such activities are disruptive to your fellow guests’ enjoyment of the tour experience. We reserve the right to remove any guests who do not comply with this request. Such activities are welcome outside of the guided tour experience.


Group Tours
January to October:
- Groups with fewer than 40 guests (including drivers, chaperones, etc.) Please purchase your tickets online.
- Groups with 40 or more guests: Email us at grouptours@housefromachristmasstory.com or call our Gift Shop at 216-298-4919 for assistance with booking.
- For self-guided tour days: No specific time slots are required. Purchase tickets online and join the line with other guests upon arrival.
- For guided tour days:
- Groups with fewer than 40 guests should purchase tickets for the next available tour time.
- Groups with more than 40 guests should “split your group” and purchase tickets for consecutive tour times.
- Groups with fewer than 40 guests should purchase tickets for the next available tour time.
Please note all group tours must be paid with a credit card only.

- The House: Accessibility ramps provide access to the first floor only.
- The Gift Shop: Fully accessible as a single-story building.
- The Bumpus House: Accessibility ramps provide access to the first floor only.
- Guests with disabilities wait the same amount of time as other guests but do not need to wait in the regular line.
- A reservation time will be assigned based on the current wait time.
- At the designated time, the guest and up to three (3) companions can enter the House through an alternate entrance.
Accessible Parking
- Accessible parking spaces are available in the lot between the House and The Bumpus House.
- Additional accessible parking is available near the Gift Shop for convenient access to all buildings.
Restroom Accessibility
- The Gift Shop includes unisex, accessible restrooms suitable for companion or family use.
Service Animals
- Service animals are welcome in all areas and buildings on the property.
Hearing and Vision Accommodations
- A binder with a printed tour is available in the Gift Shop for hearing-impaired guests.
- A printed tour in 20-point Arial font is also available for those with vision impairments, in accordance with ADA regulations.
