Tours begin promptly at their scheduled time. Once a tour begins, we do not allow late arrivals as it can interfere with the ongoing tour and the experience of our guests.
Please note during our peak season wait times can vary and may be lengthy. Please take this into consideration when you make your trip, and please be kind as we are doing our best to get everyone in and out in a timely manner.
Tickets can be purchased both online and in person at our Gift Shop. Tickets are good for both the House and Museum. Tours begin at 10:15am and run every half hour. Please note, tour times are subject to change without notice and depending on the amount of guests on site we may have to switch to self guided tours.
Fast Pass tickets allow you to bypass the regular line waiting for the House and Museum. Fast Pass tickets are available on a first come first serve basis and sold inside of the Gift Shop ONLY. They will be available on select days throughout November and December. Fast Pass tickets must be used when purchased and cannot be returned or exchanged. Price is the same regardless of age. One guest per ticket purchased. Our Gift Shop associates will give you the information where to get in line when ticket is purchased.
Tickets purchased online are typically shipped via First Class mail. Please allow extra time for delivery. If you are local we suggest buying your tickets at the Gift Shop in person. Tickets are not stamped for a specific time or date so getting them in person or online makes no difference for your visit. Tickets expire one year after purchase or by the date printed on the back side (where applicable).

The House from A Christmas Story, Museum and Gift Shop are closed: New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. In addition, we are closed the last 2 full weeks in February for yearly maintenance.
Parking
The House from A Christmas Story has two parking lots and street parking on the streets in front of and directly adjacent to the property. The first parking lot is located directly to the left of the House. The second parking lot is located to right of the Gift Shop. Please see map below.
